Rugosa Paddocks Chevon: tender, juicy, sweet and lean goat meat, grown naturally in saltbush country, with minimal chemical use. Chevon goat meat is produced from goats under a year of age, to ensure tender, sweet and juicy meat cuts. The taste of Rugosa Paddocks Chevon is reminiscent of lamb, although sweeter and leaner.
Goat meat is naturally lean and low in cholesterol, compared to beef and lamb. At Rugosa Paddocks we rotationally graze our stock on native pasture of saltbush, bluebush and other mallee species, to prevent damage to the vegetation or fragile soil structure through overgrazing. This practice also maintains the health of our livestock and reduces our need for chemical livestock treatments.
