Procal Dairies is a privately owned company that commenced operations in July 2003.
The directors of Procal who have, combined, approximately 60 years experience in food manufacturing and distribution, recognised that there was an opportunity for a company to enter the Dairy industry and provide quality dairy products combined with exceptional levels of service to both the retail and foodservice trade.
The name Procal is an acronym for PROtein and CALcium and the phrase ‘Everything Good In Milk’ refers to the commitment Procal has to quality of our dairy products and level of service we provide. Due to our commitment to these ideals, and utilising our network of dedicated franchisees. Procal Dairies has, in less than 3 years, grown to become one of the largest independent dairy providers in Victoria. All Procal franchisees not only own their own vehicle, but have a vested interest in the customer base that they service. This ensures that the highest levels of integrity and service are adhered to at all times.
Procal sources its milk fresh from the dairy farms located in and around the lush Kiewa Valley in North Eastern Victoria. Milk is transported into the processing facility located close to the township of Kiewa, where it is quality checked and processed including being pasteurised and homogenised before it is bottled. All this takes place within 24 hours, ensuring that Procal customers receive the highest quality fresh milk available.
Procal smooth yoghurt is made from only the finest dairy ingredients. Our unique process of making Procal Smooth Yoghurt results in a rich smooth texture, without the sourness associated with traditional yoghurts, while still remaining 98% Fat Free. Procal Smooth Yoghurt also contains live Acidophilus, Bifidus and Casei cultures with no artificial flavours or colours, it contains no gelatine and is gluten free.
Procal Natural Yoghurt is made from fresh milk and uses only Halal certified ingredients. It is also available as thick yoghurt which is prefect for hot dishes that require a yoghurt that won’t melt easily.
