The Inwood Family of Country Range Farming Pty Ltd at Boodua on the Beautiful Darling Downs, Queensland, has been producing organic eggs, grain, beef cattle and lucerne for the past twenty years. Country Range Farming is owned and managed by Roy and Ivy Inwood along with their sons Damien and Jason. One of the requirements of a genuine certified egg is that it must be laid by a free-range hen. The Inwood Family has been farming free-range hens since 1950, and was the first to market organic eggs in Australia.
The original farm has been in the Inwood family for 5 generations and is living testament to the long held beliefs of the owners that the environment and farming can co-exist in harmony.
Country Range Farming Pty Ltd now has seven different farms in the district, employing over 20 local people and has a modern grading facility, allowing for export as well as national distribution. All eggs are graded for size and quality and individually identified before being packed for distribution.
